Attenborough: ‘Climate crisis has come’

Naturalist and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough has slammed prevarication and delay in addressing climate change, warning that “the moment of crisis has come”.

“As I speak, south east Australia is on fire. Why? Because the temperatures of the Earth are increasing,” he said in an interview with BBC News science editor David Shukman, launching a swathe of new programmes covering the climate crisis.
