Coronavirus: How mega-projects are being hit by the outbreak

The rapid spread of the coronavirus crisis in the UK has forced some major infrastructure projects to temporarily shut down their construction sites during the pandemic. Here’s what you need to know.


Some works on the first phase of High Speed Rail Two (HS2) have been stopped while others have continued. 

So far, CSjv and SCS Railways, who together employ everyone who works on an HS2 London site, and Align JV, which is responsible for the controversial 13.5km Chiltern’s Tunnel and the Colne valley viaduct, have decided to pause work on site, an HS2 spokesman told ENDS.
