‘A historic mistake’: Covid recovery must not lock in high carbon emissions, Sunak warned

The chairs of two cross-party House of Commons committees have written to chancellor Rishi Sunak urging him not to assemble coronavirus recovery packages that would lock the UK into high carbon emissions pathways and scupper any chances of the country hitting net zero by 2050.
