‘Gross oversimplification’: Jenrick’s planning reforms dismay green groups

The government’s plans to automatically greenlight house building in zones earmarked for development have been criticised by environmentalists as a ‘gross oversimplification’ of the planning process, but housing secretary Robert Jenrick says the plans will deliver ‘environmentally friendly’ homes from the outset.
