MPs ‘concerned’ by interim green watchdog’s role and powers
The chairs of two environmental select committees have called on DEFRA to provide transparency around the independence, role and powers of the “stop-gap environmental regulator” it intends to set up before the Environment Bill, which contains the legal framework for the permanent watchdog, receives royal assent.
