European Commission at odds with DEFRA over fate of 19 infringement cases

Environment secretary George Eustice’s claims that ongoing legal cases at the European Court of Justice will ‘fall away’ at the end of the Brexit transition period are contrary to the terms of the withdrawal agreement, the European Commission has said.
