Sixth Carbon Budget: 78% carbon cut by 2035 ‘ambitious, realistic and affordable’

Reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2050 could pay for itself, according to government advisers the Climate Change Committee (CCC), which has laid out recommendations for rapid decarbonisation of the economy over the coming decades.
