My client is looking for an experienced EIA Consultant to join them in this Senior Position, working as a key member of the Planning Team. The role is based in Central London within a superb collaborative working environment where they promote flexible working and a positive work-life balance. By joining them, you will be part of a leading global multi-disciplinary consultancy, specialising in all areas of the built and natural environment, shaping the future of environmental, social and economic landscapes.
Working with their highly knowledgeable consultants, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing small to medium sized projects from commencement to completion, and close out and work as a team on larger and strategic projects. This will include assisting with coordinating project finances, the production of deliverables in line with the client’s expectations and to agreed timescales, assisting with tender submissions and ensure all project work is completed to a high standard.
You’ll prepare input for client proposals e.g. information gathering, assessment of relevant data and details and provide appropriate summaries. You may be required to assist in public consultations with preparatory materials, attend public events in support of a wider client proposal, attend and monitor committee and other hearings.
Ideally You Will Have The Following
You will have a relevant degree (or equivalent) and an MSc in EIA, Environmental Management or similar. You will need to be a knowledgeable and competent EIA project manager who is used to being in a client-facing role. You’ll have a proven understanding of EIA legislation, procedures and standards to IEMA Quality Mark level and be excellent at drafting NTS’s and introductory and concluding chapters of ES’s.
My client needs you to have EIA experience in residential and mixed-use developments and be competent in the preparation of EIA screening and scoping reports. Ideally, you’ll have experience in at least one of the following – CEMPs/ CMPs, socio-economic assessments, HIA reports or sustainability statements/assessments.
Good financial and project management skills are a must as are great communication skills to build, maintain and consolidate strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and external bodies.
