Water firm boss: Public tolerance for pollution 'has vanished'

The public's growing intolerance of water pollution is "driving demand for increased investment" but there is a challenge in managing trade-offs between the carbon impact of engineering solutions to prevent sewer overflows and the ecological benefits of improved water quality, a discussion paper published this week by Yorkshire Water has said.
