MPs demand ‘full explanation’ over scrapped £1.5bn green homes scheme

MPs on the Environmental Audit Committee have requested a “full explanation” from the energy secretary as to why he ignored their recommendation that the Green Homes Grant should “not be scrapped or quietly wound down”, just days before he went ahead and axed the £1.5bn scheme.
