‘Absolutely scandalous’: Water firm blames broken monitor for misreporting raw sewage spills
A water firm has attributed its failure to report sewage spills from one of its wastewater treatment plants to a broken monitor, after photos and video footage emerged showing discharges at a time the company told the Environment Agency no spills had taken place.
