Pow denies use of 'spurious statistics' to build case against tougher sewer overflow action

Environment minister Rebecca Pow has denied that the government “gave spurious statistics” around the costs of eliminating storm sewage overflows, after campaigners claimed the costs of doing so could be much lower than her previously quoted figures of between £150bn and £660bn.
