Environment Bill: MPs back government on guidance power to OEP
MPs have voted against amendments which sought to strengthen the independence of the Environment Bill’s proposed green watchdog, despite arguments that the Owen Paterson scandal showed the government could not be trusted in good faith to follow its own rules.
