Environment Bill passes into law 1,056 days since it first appeared

The Environment Bill has been passed and will now become an Act after an unsuccessful last ditch attempt to bring in a new amendment on the independence of the new green watchdog, but observers have said it is not the “world-leading legislation we were promised”.
