Why does the death of 45,000 fish in a protected river remain a mystery?
Anglers and local naturalists reacted with dismay last week when Natural Resources Wales (NRW) announced it was closing its investigation into last year’s major pollution incident on the river Llynfi, a tributary of the River Wye, which killed an estimated 45,000 fish and unknown quantities of invertebrates.
