Is regulation needed to prevent net zero greenwashing?

It was six months ago that COP26 kicked off in Glasgow. By the time the climate talks ended two weeks later, more than half the UK’s largest firms had managed to commit to net zero. There was a tripling of pledges in the 10 months leading up to the summit. “Britain’s leading businesses are sending a clear signal to world leaders at COP26 that now is the time to act,” said the UK government’s net zero business champion Andrew Griffith.
