Biodiversity net gain exemptions should be limited, says lawyers group
The new biodiversity net gain (BNG) requirement on developments, due to come into effect from next year, should be applied “as broadly as possible”, with exemptions, including for development proposed on brownfield land, “kept to a minimum”, a professional membership body has said.
