Exclusive: EA to ‘silently pass’ water company pollution reports to team leaders
Environment Agency call handlers have been told to close reports of lower impact category 3 pollution incidents and instructed to “silently pass” those caused by water companies to team leaders, bypassing duty officers who would previously have decided how best to respond, a leaked document reveals.
