Kwarteng overrules inspectors’ Habitats Regulations concerns in Sizewell C consent
The energy secretary has approved plans for the construction of a nuclear power plant on the Suffolk coast, contrary to concerns that a lack of certainty around the provision of a permanent water supply to the facility raised issues around compliance with Habitats Regulations.
