Non-virgin timber remains ‘waste’

The lack of a common standard for "clean" used wood means the Environment Agency cannot make it "non-waste".1 The decision, announced in a regulatory position statement, issued in October, is the latest to emerge from the Agency’s waste protocols project (ENDS Report 376, pp 19-20 ).
