Truss must deliver on Conservative manifesto environmental commitments, say campaigners

With Liz Truss set to become the new Prime Minister of the UK, her first priority upon entering Number 10 will be to tackle the dual crises of rising energy bills and energy security. But with fracking and North Sea gas mooted by Truss as being key parts of the solution, campaigners are urging the PM not to lose sight of the 2019 Conservative Party manifesto, which committed the party to net zero.
