Leaked report reveals EA has known about illegal sewage dumping for a decade

A leaked report from 2012 shows that the Environment Agency has known for at least a decade that wastewater treatment works have been illegally dumping raw sewage into rivers, despite the agency’s chief executive telling MPs in May that the practice had only recently come to light.
