EA doubles farm inspections in 2021, with 52% of sites in breach of permits

The Environment Agency (EA) more than doubled its farm inspections last year, finding permit breaches in relation to slurry and silage storage infrastructure at 52% of site visits, and identifying the dairy sector as a continued poor performer, according to a report by the regulator.
