DEFRA will take a ‘retain by default’ approach to mass scrap of EU-derived laws, says Coffey
The environment secretary intends to not continue breaking the law and wants to see the delayed environmental targets published before Christmas, she said in her first select committee appearance, where she also gave an update on the status of the farming reform review, her plans for the controversial Retained EU Law Bill, and her priorities for DEFRA.
