‘Unexpected’ POPs guidance leaves two councils unable to dispose of upholstered seating
New rules requiring that all domestic seating containing persistent organic pollutants (POPs) to be incinerated have been shunned by local authority recycling officers, who warn that without further clarity, councils are “not completely clear” about how to comply with the policy.
