‘Economic and environmental wrecking ball’: Campaigners warn of £80bn price tag to Retained EU Law Bill
The weakening of environmental regulations under the Retained EU Law (REUL) Bill could deliver an economic cost of £80 billion over 30 years, while "significant additional costs in the form of civil service and parliamentary time" will hamper efforts to tackle the NHS and cost-of-living crises and deliver on key environmental promises, a report has warned.
