‘Little good news’: OEP slams government over progress on environmental goals

The government cannot prove it is on track on any of the 23 targets it set itself in 2018, many “extremely worrying” environmental trends remain “unchecked”, and progress on meeting the legal target to halt species decline by 2030 is already “significantly off track”, the Office for Environmental Protection has said in a scathing report.
