NFU pushed for reduced ambition on ‘irrational’ environmental targets, documents reveal

The National Farmers’ Union (NFU) urged the government to reign in the ambition of its biodiversity, water, and woodland cover targets, which the union describe as “unachievable” and “irrational”, documents released under Freedom of Information legislation have revealed.
