DEFRA publishes long-awaited Environmental Improvement Plan

A new multi-million pound ‘Species Survival Fund’, government support to restore 30,000 miles of hedgerows a year by 2037, and a commitment to consult this year on extending environmental permitting to ‘dairy and intensive beef farms’, are included in DEFRA’s Environmental Improvement Plan (EIP), published this morning.
