Coffey: EA drawing up ‘systematic’ assessment on future of retained EU law

The Environment Agency is drawing up a ‘systematic assessment’ of which aspects of retailed EU law (REUL) could be scrapped or amended, including in relation to the ecological status of rivers, while EU air quality rules are also being considered for ‘improvements’ by DEFRA, the environment secretary has told MPs.
