Government moots compromise on strengthened nature recovery duties for national parks
The government may be willing to compromise with peers following calls for strengthened statutory duties on national park authorities to recover nature and tackle climate change, a DEFRA minister has signalled, as Labour pledges to introduce a Scottish-style right to roam law in England.
