High Court to hear Mid Sussex oil well consent challenge

The High Court will today hear opening arguments in a case that will examine whether a planning inspector should have considered the climate impacts of fossil fuel extraction in a planning appeal for an exploratory oil well within an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB).
