Peers add ‘climate adaptation’ clause to LURB bill and back government’s nature recovery strategies concessions
Peers have succeeded in adding an amendment to the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill (LURB) to place a new duty on national and local government to have "special regard" to climate change mitigation and adaptation when drawing up planning policies.
