Housebuilding body ‘to go cap in hand’ to find millions from developers to fund nutrient mitigation scheme

The Home Builders Federation is being asked to find £140 million from developers through voluntary contributions to fund 50% of Natural England’s Nutrient Mitigation Scheme, but with no clear means to compel builders to do so, ENDS has been told.
