ENDS Power List 2024: Now open for nominations

Help us to identify the UK’s most impactful environmental professionals - and politicians - by nominating them now!

Following its hugely successful launch two years ago, the ENDS Power List is back by popular demand for 2024. It will again spotlight the 100 UK environmental professionals whose work has made the greatest impact in the last two years.

From academics to activists, campaigners to consultants, lawyers to leaders of professional bodies, and public sector heroes to private sector pioneers, we need your help to identify them all.

Our criteria for demonstrating impact are intentionally broad. Individuals who make the final list may have shaped or influenced national or local environmental policy. Their actions may have enhanced the reputation of the environmental profession. Their work may have resulted in demonstrable and positive environmental improvements. Or they may be unsung heroes whose work is delivering positive change without receiving the recognition you feel they deserve.

Nominees can work in any part of the sector and in any role – please see the survey form for a list of roles you may wish to think about. However, to be eligible nominees must be environmental professionals. For instance, celebrities that campaign on environmental issues would not be eligible.

Whatever their impact, we need your help to find the environmental professionals who are most deserving of recognition for their influence. Please let us know who they are and what they have done that merits applause.

New for 2024

In previous years we have taken the decision to not include politicians in our list. However, with a general election expected this year we are planning to include a separate category for politicians and we need your help to do this.

We are calling for nominations for elected politicians from any part of the UK who you consider to have made the greatest positive impact on green issues over the last two years. They may include those in the House of Commons, House of Lords, the devolved assemblies, and local, regional, city-regional government, and parish and town councils.

We believe that the ultimate special report, which will be published in the second quarter of 2024, will stimulate debate and that, more importantly, it will be a genuine celebration of the huge reserves of talent that exist in the sector.

You can begin your nominations here. Please feel free to share the link, too - we want as many nominations as possible. For inspiration, here’s last year’s list.

Please send entries by Wednesday 31st January.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
