Civil claim costs farmer £106,000

An East Anglian pig farmer has been ordered to pay costs and damages of over £106,000 following a pollution incident that killed 10,000 fish. The costs were awarded after a civil action by the National Rivers Authority (NRA) and the Anglers Cooperative Association (ACA) which succeeded even though a criminal prosecution failed on appeal.
