Dry cleaners panic over CFC phase-out

Hundreds of the UK's dry cleaning establishments have been caught in a last-minute panic to find a substitute for the ozone-depleting chemical CFC-113, which is due to be phased out by the end of this year. Government officials say that the industry has been oblivious to the substantial publicity on the issue since 1987. Nonetheless, the search is on to help them find an alternative.
