IPC drafts on timber, leather, textiles and di-isocyanates

HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) has published the second drafts of guidance notes for some of the diverse group of processes which have still to come under integrated pollution control (IPC).1 One noteworthy feature is that it has retreated from urging timber treatment businesses to drop the use of prescribed substances - raising questions over its interpretation of the "best practicable environmental option" (BPEO).
