Many directors acknowledge ignorance of environmental laws

Businesses are now less knowledgable about current and impending environmental legislation than a year ago, according to a survey by the Institute of Directors (IoD).1 Ironically, firms continue to cite regulation as the main motivation for taking an interest in environmental issues. But a persistent third of the companies surveyed appear to have no involvement with environmental matters at all.
