New study confirms health risk from fine particulates

A new US epidemiological study has concluded that fine particulates emitted from combustion sources are linked to an increased incidence of premature deaths from heart and lung diseases.1 The study is the largest so far to confirm the link and will strengthen the case for air quality standards and monitoring of fine particulates.
