HMIP's "3Es" initiative pays off at Allied Colloids

Critics of integrated pollution control (IPC) in the chemical industry have been given reason to reconsider by early successes in a project to identify cost-saving ways of reducing releases from three processes operated by speciality chemicals manufacturer Allied Colloids at Low Moor, Bradford. Other chemical companies in the region have responded by asking HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) to replicate the work on their sites.
