Plan for Dee water protection zone splits industry

Objectors to a drinking water protection zone in North Wales proposed by the National Rivers Authority (NRA) made a poor showing at a public inquiry in March, with only one individual turning up to oppose the scheme. The Welsh branch of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) sent written objections - but both the national CBI and the Chemical Industries Association (CIA) have come out in support of the plan.
