Chemical industry continues to cut environmental spending projections

The chemical industry's investments in environmental protection declined in 1994, falling to half the level predicted two years earlier. And its previously grossly inflated projections of environmental expenditure, used in a campaign against integrated pollution control, continue to be cut back to much lower levels.
