Energy Saving Trust bailed out with crumbs from nuclear table

The future of the Energy Saving Trust (EST) has been placed on a more secure footing with the announcement of £25 million annual funding from the Department of the Environment. But the cash, made available by the early scrapping of the nuclear levy on electricity bills, is way below the level required if the Trust is to meet its ambitious target under the Government's climate change strategy.
