Textile eco-labelling hits new stumbling block

An EC Regulatory Committee meeting in September failed to vote on eco-labelling criteria for textiles despite backing from the textile industry and all Member States. This latest hold-up for the ill-fated eco-labelling scheme was caused by the absence of an agreement on the criteria from the European Commission's various Directorates, and no date has yet been set for a final decision.
