Teesside health study links lung cancer with air pollution

A major epidemiological study has found no clear evidence to link industrial air pollution on Teesside with most forms of respiratory ill health.1 However, the researchers found consistently elevated rates of lung cancer in populations living close to industrial installations - and believe that air pollution is a plausible explanation.
