Modified feeds cut air pollution from livestock farms

Specially developed feeds can reduce air pollution from intensive pig units, a study by the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research (IGER) has found. The results conflict with official assertions that there are no ways to curb greenhouse gas emissions from farms, and may pave the way to controls on the sector under the EC Directive on integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC).
