Lords air concerns about Noise Bill

The Government has promised to accept an amendment to the Noise Bill which would enable it to make the new regime for curbing night-time noise nuisances mandatory on local authorities. The concession came as the Bill had its second reading in the House of Lords, when peers served notice that they will be raising concerns at Committee stage about how the Bill will operate in practice.
