MPs probe industry views on trade and environment

The final stages of an inquiry into trade and the environment by the House of Commons Environment Committee witnessed acrimonious exchanges between MPs and the Paper Federation of Great Britain (PFGB) on eco-labelling and sustainable forestry schemes. In contrast, the Committee enjoyed a harmonious philosophical debate with Environment Secretary John Gummer and Trade Minister Anthony Nelson about the morality of "green imperialism".
