Agency study casts doubt on air dispersion models

Ground-level concentrations of pollutants may be significantly underestimated by conventional atmospheric dispersion models, according to a report by the Environment Agency.1 The Agency is planning to carry out a more detailed evaluation of more advanced models of plume behaviour using laser-based technology.
